The facilities also serve as banquet halls ideal for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, holiday parties and theme parties. A lovely landscaped tiered Courtyard sits center stage offering a large deck, multiple patios and gazebos ideal for a small garden wedding, large social event such as a family or class reunion or company picnic. Guests are permitted to use the caterer, caterers, party rentals, vendors, wedding planners, party planners or event planners of their choice.

The McNutt House was built in 1826 and is among the oldest antebellum homes in Vicksburg's Historic Downtown District. It was acquired by Governor Alexander Gallatin McNutt (Mississippi's 12th Governor) in 1830 who subsequently added the rear wing in 1832. McNutt is best remembered for his staunch, but unsuccessful battles to regulate banking as well as for having signed into legislation the right of women to own property in Mississippi. Over the centuries the house has had many owners to include the Vick family, for which the city is named. The main floor contains coal burning fireplaces with original cast iron mantles now serving host to business meetings and special occasion events. McNutt's living quarters, his personal office and a guest bedroom now accommodate our guests as Suites with full kitchens and private bath.

The Magill House is situated at the base of the courtyard and named in honor of Lt. David Weeks Magill, a wealthy 21 year old Louisiana plantation owner and Confederate Officer who perished in 1863 during the Siege of Vicksburg and is buried on site. This building has served a variety of purposes including classrooms for a Montessori School that once owned the property. A front porch spans the length of the building facing a large patio and the courtyard. The house contains a Guest Room and two efficiency Suites with kitchenettes, each with private bath. A common area is also available for use by our guests containing a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher plus adjoining complimentary laundry room. See the Suites page for additional details.

Our Laughlin location offers two fully furnished and very well equipped two-bedroom apartments ideal for extended stays conveniently located one block off Washington Street. This property is situated in a quiet and established neighborhood 5 minutes from shopping areas and 15 minutes for most in-town destinations including the US Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center – ERDC, the Vicksburg District, and the Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station to name a few businesses past guests were affiliated with. Each apartment includes all customary large and small appliances, dishwasher, DirecTv, premium movie channels, wireless internet and a in-unit washer and dryer. The McNutt House is please to extend its facilities for your venue needs. The main house can accomodate business meetings, parties, banquets and weddings and rehearal dinners for small events (40 or less). The Hall (former Montessori school) offers an open floor plan that can accomodate groups up to 100 for social events, banquets, theme and holiday parties or business meetings. The Courtyard is the propety's centerpiece featuring one of the areas oldest Japanese Magnolia trees, a Crape Myrtle tree believed to predate the Civil War, large deck, lovely terraced gardens, multiple patios, picnic area with grills and gazebos. The perfect setting for an intimate garden wedding, large social event, family or class reunion, retreat and picnics. The McNutt Suite is ideal for use as a hospitality suite or bride's dressing chamber. Two full kitchens and wireless internet are also available.
